We hear these statements all the time from students who want to begin a meditation practice, people who know that meditation will benefit their lives, but don't know how to get started.  Meditation is a very important part of Spring Yoga and all of the instructors are dedicated to making this a part of the yoga practice. Each class will have a meditation and shavsana (corpse pose). 



What are the benefits of meditation?

Meditation was originally meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of life

but modern science has come to discover that meditation can:

*promote a deep state of relaxation

*learn to focus attention and reduced clouded thoughts in mind

*focusing on the present moment

*reduced blood pressure

*provide clarity

*assist with stress reduction and anger management

*reduced negative emotions

*help in addiction recovery, PTSD, and anxiety disorders

*helps adolescents with adhd, test anxiety, asthma and discipline problems

*pain management
